I became a dentist because I wanted to help people.
One of the things I love most about dentistry is building relationships with my patients and their families. I love getting to know people, helping them feel comfortable, and providing care that can make a difference in their lives.
When I became the owner of Princeton Dental Studio, I wanted to create a dental office where people felt genuinely cared for.
An office where we don't rush through appointments. Where we invest in great people, quality materials, and modern technology. And where we always look for ways to improve.
That's why I've made the difficult decision to leave the Delta Dental insurance network this December.
I want to explain this as simply as I can.
Think about how much things cost today compared to ten years ago.
Groceries cost more. Gas costs more. Almost everything costs more.
The same is true for dentistry.
The materials we use, the technology we invest in, and the cost of taking care of our team have all increased.
But the amount some insurance companies pay dentists hasn't kept up with those increases.
Imagine if your employer expected you to do the same great work every year but didn't increase your pay to help keep up with rising costs.
Eventually, something would have to change.
That's the challenge many dental offices face.
We could try to save money by using cheaper materials, delaying new equipment purchases, or scheduling more patients into each day.
But I don't believe those are the right choices for our patients or our team.
I want our hygienists to have time to educate you. I want our assistants to have the best tools to help make your visits comfortable. I want to continue learning and bringing better technology and techniques into our office.
And I want to give you the time and attention you deserve.
I don't want an insurance company's payment rates to determine the quality of care we're able to provide.
I understand that insurance helps families afford dental care, and I don't take that lightly.
If you have Delta Dental, I want you to know that we would still love to care for you.
You may still have out-of-network benefits. We also offer an in-house membership plan, and you may have other insurance options through your employer or the individual insurance market.
Our team is happy to help you explore those options.
I know this decision won't be convenient for everyone. Some families may face higher costs, and I understand that.
But I believe the long-term health of our practice depends on our ability to continue providing the kind of dentistry our patients deserve.
My commitment is to keep improving, to take care of our amazing team, and to provide a fantastic experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
That's not something I'm willing to compromise.
Thank you for trusting me and our team with your dental health.
I hope we can continue caring for you and your family for many years to come.
